You can find all sorts of neat things at Goodwill, and a lot of those things are the focus of some very passionate communities.

Goodwill-Suncoast prints GoodWorld News, a semi-annual newsletter that updates shoppers and donors on the latest within the company.

For this issue, I wanted to turn the lens back towards the eclectic thrifting community, and highlight why what they do is so important.

Every year, Goodwill-Suncoast hosts a hippie-themed 5k/10k race to raise funds and awareness.

Vintage VWs show up, everyone runs in costume, it’s a whole thing. I still don’t really get it, but we got 1,500 people to do it.

Before I worked there, the company was severely underutilizing email, so I took Hippie Dash as an opportunity to change that.
